============================== (English below) Testalonga El Bandito Skin Contact Chenin Blanc 2021 [Producer] Testalonga was founded by Craig and Carla Hawkins in 2008 in the Swartland, South Africa, and is a leading name in the country's natural wine movement. They farm organically and biodynamically, making wines from grapes alone with minimal intervention. [About this wine] El Bandito Skin Contact is Testalonga's signature orange wine, made from old-vine Chenin Blanc in the Swartland and fermented on its skins for an extended maceration. Vinified from decomposed-granite-soil fruit and aged in large oak, it balances freshness with structure. [Quick facts] - Country: South Africa - Region: Swartland - Appellation: WO Swartland - Grape: 100% Chenin Blanc - Style: Orange wine (dry, skin-contact) - Vintage: 2021 - Volume: 750ml * Please refer to the bottle label for alcohol content and importer. [Tasting Note] Pale-to-bright orange in the glass. Complex aromas of dried apricot, citrus peel, rooibos tea, wild herbs and dried flowers. Lively acidity and a delicate, gentle tannic grip lead to a focused, mineral finish. Drinks well now and will reward a few years in bottle. [Food Pairing] Pairs with dashi-rich Japanese dishes, yakitori (salt or tare), miso-glazed plates, and aged hard cheeses.
