Founded in the late 1940s-early 1950s by Alberto Loi, born into a family of Cannonau growers, producers and traders, it remains devoted to the island's native grapes. [About this wine] Nibaru is a Monica di Sardegna DOC red made from 100% Monica. The name comes from a wild Sardinian shrub ('spaccasassi') growing among the vines. It ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel and ages in cement vats.
